We were right! As previewed in the current Tarmac issue on stands now, Subaru has confirmed the STi sedan has been added to the hatch version of the STi, for the first time in STi history.

Unveiled at the New York Auto Show yesterday, the STi sedan uses the same 221kW 2.5-litre flat-four, with lighter 18-inch wheels, and of course the return of the huge rear wing.

Both 2011 STi models willland in Australia later this year.
